Sheila Savar
President & CEO

Sheila Savar is the president and CEO of The Savar Institute, a prestigious firm she founded in 2002. The firm - a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) of Project Management Institute - specializes in the human element of business – the leadership, communication and networking skills needed to advance career and business success and enhance the quality of our personal lives and relationships.  

Before starting her firm, Sheila enjoyed a successful 20+ year career in sales, customer care and executive management, working for a broad range of companies from start-up ventures to Fortune 100.

She is a gifted speaker and developmental facilitator whose motivational style inspires people to take actions and make behavioral changes that are professionally and personally transformational.  Sheila is a recognized expert facilitator presenting on an array of leadership and development topics including networking; mindful leadership; empowerment; communication and interpersonal skills; and employee and client engagement.  

In 2006 Sheila was an ACE Awards finalist; a prestigious award sponsored by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce; and in 2007 she received a finalist award in the ‘Heroines in Technology’ awards sponsored by Women in Technology and The March of Dimes.

In 2008 Sheila authored her first book on her most requested speaker topic “The Power of Networking”. It is an easy-to-read practical how-to guide for achieving career and business success and it is receiving much acclaim and great reviews on Amazon.  

In 2009, Sheila was admitted as a Vistage Expert Resource Speaker, part of an elite corps of sought-after content experts. Vistage is an international executive leadership organization with over 15,000 CEO members in 16 countries.

Sheila is a sought after speaker and facilitator who has earned the respect of global business leaders and organizations such as The World Bank, Microsoft, AOL, Project Management Institute, Duetsche Telekom, British Telecom, The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, AIIM, United Way and more.

She has a passion for providing a helping hand up to those that wish to improve their lives and regularly offers pro bono keynotes, facilitations and mentoring to local, national and international non-profit organizations and educational institutions.

The daughter of a diplomat, Sheila grew up mostly in the Middle East and North Africa and has travelled throughout Europe and Asia. Her own multi-cultural mix, growing up abroad and educated in international schools results in her natural ability to identify and connect with people of all cultures.


Marisa Preuss
Director of Marketing and Communications


Marisa Preuss is an accomplished marketing communications professional with more than 11 years experience working for a variety of non-profit associations, universities and Fortune 100 companies including the Walt Disney World Company.  

Marisa's strong creative talent is backed by substantial graphic design, web design and event planning experience. She is also a talented writer/editor with the ability to produce compelling marketing materials, press releases, PowerPoint presentations, and newsletter articles for publication. Her technical skills are matched by keen business instincts. She has demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective direct mail, electronic and on-line marketing programs.

Marisa's expertise is developing and implementing strategic marketing plans that leverage The Savar Institute's core values while positioning it for future growth in revenue and brand name identity.

 


David Belden
Resource Expert

David Belden has 30 years experience in international trade and business development, garnered while working and living abroad in Denmark, Taiwan, Japan, France and Germany.

For the past 10 years, David has facilitated a CEO roundtable for Vistage, the leading CEO membership organization with 15,000 members in 16 countries. He is designated a Master Chair as well as the Best Practice Chair for the other 25 facilitators in the Washington , D.C. and Metro region.

Apart from his position with Vistage, David has spent the past ten years establishing new offices and restructuring dysfunctional operations abroad. During this time, he successfully completed five start-ups and three major turnarounds.

David’s emphasis is in consulting and facilitation, specializing in team alignment, executive coaching, workshops, and retreats for companies, associations, not-for-profits, and governmental organizations. The focus of his work is to help teams discover the underlying blockers to cooperation, understanding, and profitability. A significant dimension of David’s work is in coaching, where he has performed between 30 and 40 sessions a month for the past ten years.

David facilitates executive and employee profiling using the unique Core Values Index™ to identify the position that would allow each individual to serve the organization at the highest level of his or her ability. He is a certified Master Facilitator in Fierce Conversations™ and The Communication Catalyst™, a watershed methodology delineating the psychological basis of conversations.

David uses this training in conflict resolution and coaching and has presented over 300 workshops, retreats, and keynotes to a wide range of groups and organizations.


 


Dev Raheja
Resource Expert


Dev Raheja is an internationally recognized quality and safety consultant.  His thirty years of experience is focused on new-product project management, specializing in ultra high quality and safety solutions. Dev has served clients in numerous industries including aviation, consumer, medical and health care. With each, Dev prides himself in helping clients to achieve high ROI as a result of his methodologies, creativity and innovation.

A true international consultant, Dev conducts training workshops and consultations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. His value to his clients is demonstrated by the long-term business relationships he maintains with such notables as NASA, Johnson & Johnson, Mattel Toys, Siemens, General Electric, Intel, GM, Boeing, Eaton, Nissan, IBM, Harley-Davidson, United Technologies, and the U.S. Government.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Dev's career included employment with GE and Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He has served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland for the past five years and currently teaches Continuous Quality Management for the MBA program at Florida Institute of Technology. Dev has been honored with - and received - several industry awards including the Educator-of-the-Year Award.

 


Sardčk P. Love
Resource Expert

Sardčk P. Love is an international business consultant with over 15 years of professional experience in leadership development, training and development, customer service, management information systems, and production and operations management. He has provided consulting and training services to organizations throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Australia.

Sardčk's past employment includes being a Program Manager for Booz Allen Hamilton and a Field Underwriting Manager for MetLife Insurance Company - a Fortune 37 company.

As a former National Advisor for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Sardčk and his fellow advisors were awarded the prestigious ASTD Staff Partnership Award. His Booz Allen Learning Partnerships Program was also featured in Training Magazine as an industry 'Best Practice' during his tenure as Program Manager.
    
Sardčk's expertise in customer service is internationally recognized. In 2005, he served as the Keynote speaker for the 2005 Jamaica Customer Service Association's (JaCSA) annual conference and at the request of the CEO, he returned in 2006 to deliver a full day workshop based on his keynote speech.

His ability to constantly apply his innovative ideas to achieve exceptional business results is what sets him apart as an effective leader. Sardčk who is a graduate of Virginia Tech, lives the university's motto every day of his life 'Ut Prosim' which translates to 'That I may serve.'
